The Power BI Essentials Course, will take you from installing and setting up Power BI, to Getting and Transforming Data. This course also focuses on Creating and Adjusting Visualizations, and generating reports for others.

This course has no prerequisites other than basic computer usage skills.

By the End of this coaching course, the participant will have a good understanding of Excel Foundation skills, inclusive of:

  • Formatting Cells and Data, inclusive of Number Formats.

Power BI Intermediate

In the Excel intermediate training the student will be able to gain skills in such areas as filtering data, creating and using tables. Also the use of advanced formatting tools and conditional formatting. This course will also focus on more complex functions inclusive of VLOOKUP and IF. The student will also expand on their knowledge of Charts by understanding additional features and by the use of more complex data sets.

It is advisable that participants have a working understanding of Excel. This will include creating and using basic functions such as the SUM function.

In this course the participant will learn advanced Excel features such as working with nested functions, consolidation of data & Data Linking across worksheets and workbooks. The participant will also learn how to secure cells and workbook structure. This course includes Understanding and Using Pivot Tables and Charts, and an introduction to Excel Macros.

This course is designed for those who are versatile with Excel, and would like to use more powerful features of Excel to meet extended work requirements.
